Red eye happens when the retinas of a subject’s
eyes are reflected by the camera’s flash unit. Luckily, Photoshop offers a simple way to correct this
problem by using the Red Eye tool, hidden under the Spot Healing Brush tool. Let’s open practice file red_eye.psd in Photoshop. Before we get started, click on the double headed arrow on top of
the Tools panel to turn it into a two column panel. Afterwards, locate and select the Zoom tool Click on the area near the eyes twice to magnify the area Let’s go back to the Tools panel, and locate the Healing Brush tools. Once you have, right-click on it and select the Red Eye tool. Now back on the canvas, click once on the left eye and watch the red eye disappear. Repeat the same thing and click on the right eye. It’s that simple. Let’s go back to the Tools panel and select the Zoom tool In the Options bar, click on the button Fit Screen, in
order to fit the image to the screen.
