Ask An Eye Doc: What is a retinal screening?

– Simona asks, what are the benefits of a retinal screening? (upbeat music) So, a retinal screening allows
the doctor a much wider view of the inside of the eye without having to dilate your pupils. It helps the doctor to assess for certain disorders
in the back of the eye such as retinal detachments, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, and more. So the screening helps me
see inside of your eyes, and it’s more convenient for you. It’s a win-win! I hope this was helpful. If you have any more
eye-related questions, be sure to comment below. Remember to hashtag #AskAnEyeDoc. (upbeat music)
