Did you know, ear infections are one of the
most common reasons parents take their kids to the doctors office?
And during the winter season, ear infections are even more common. An ear infection happens
when a tube that runs from the ear to the back of the throat, which lets fluid drain,
gets clogged. Ear infections can happen to adults too, but is usually less common. To
reduce the risk of getting an ear infection, wash hands and toys often, feed infants in
an upright seated position, and if possible, choose a daycare with fewer children, which
reduces the chances of catching a cold, which can lead to an ear infection.
