How To Officially Enable Dark Mode On YouTube App & MESSENGER & TWITTER


There seems to be a rush for all apps and
desktop applications to have a dark mode or a dark theme. In this video we’re
going to look at the dark mode and theme for YouTube and as a bonus we’re going
to look at the dark mode for Facebook Messenger and Twitter. The question we
have to ask is why use dark mode before we get started if it’s your first time

apps and desktop applications are rushing for dark modes
some of the benefits of dark mode are saves battery decreased eyestrain less
sleep disruption why document emits and less blue lights some medical conditions
are less aggravated by the dark mode so with these benefits in mind let’s
firstly look at the YouTube at the dark mode to enable it open a YouTube app
make sure you’re signed in tap on your profile pic on the top right then tap
Settings toggle on the dark theme here dark be activated now let’s turn to
YouTube on a desktop and look at the dark theme open up YouTube
make sure you have signed in click on your profile pic on the top right then
on the drop down menu click dark theme in the pop-up toggle on dark theme it
states ideal for nights however YouTube TV
theme is dark dark theme can be a good experience
that’s a YouTube dark theme now I want to move on to Twitter then Facebook
Messenger so stay tuned open the app you should be signed in tap on your profile
picture then tap Settings and privacy under general tap display and sound
toggle on dark mode then tap lights out you should now be in dark mode so that’s
Twitter the last start bar we’re going to look at is Facebook Messenger or
messenger as it’s widely known at the time of watching this messenger may
already be out of developer mode which it currently is at a time of recording
how to activate in developer mode is to send someone a crescent moon which is
this on the screen here sends someone just a
crescent moon in a message it will rain down crescent moons in your message
window and also the recipients message window it will rain down crescent moons
now at the top of the screen you’ll see this enable you to activate dark mode
it’ll say you’ve found dark mode now what you need to do is to tap on your
profile picture in the top left underneath your name you will now see
dark mode all you need to do is toggle on dark mode and now you will have the
dark theme so now in this video we have looked at YouTube app we’ve looked at
your desktop YouTube we’ve looked at Twitter and we’ve looked at Facebook
apart looking cool remember if saves battery life decreased eyestrain less
sleep disruption because it emits less blue lights and some medical conditions
