Reply valerie marrow February 27, 2018 Hi Tom you are so through with your explanations. I would take the Canon lenses. Canon is a name that i regularly buy from because they stand behind their product. You make me want to go out and get one and start taking beautiful pictures. Maybe i will make this my new hobby. Thanks Tom. Reply Preston Woodworth February 28, 2018 On your mini delta what Mac slicing program do you use and how did you get it to sync please tell Reply ZodiacProd May 16, 2018 whats the lens breathing like on the Sigma lens? Reply Sucko 78 May 18, 2018 Have you set the stabilizer in mode 1? To take freehand photos you have to put it in mode 1. I say it because I have the sigma and in mode 1 behaves perfectly, what I've seen in the video is more like using mode 2 freehand. Said mode, the 2 is for use in monopod, or tripod with vertical or horizontal mode released. Reply V PR June 1, 2018 Nice video, thank you). I would suggest when you present examples to lower the size of the letters and increase the size.of the samples). On my phone it was 50/50 and i couldnt see anything. But may be its.just.me. Good job!! Reply Reise Welt June 20, 2018 thanks, Sigma looks very good, nice color and sharpness Reply WopaCupaProduction July 10, 2018 liked the video, but you got some things wrong…I've got the Canon one, the same one you've got, and it's not weather sealed. I've had mine since 2014 and some dust has got in.The other thing that bothers me is that you mentioned, that IS is used for sports. That is not really true. It is useful under 1/200 shutter speed on a FF. In sports you'll be using at leat 1/1000 shutter speed and IS ins't really needed at those speeds. Reply Godz29 July 28, 2018 not liking the objective side of your comparison Reply Brad P August 13, 2018 I'm confused here. Every single photo comparison the Sigma actually looked clearer and sharper… Even in the video samples! .but you said the Canon was. Are you sure? I would love to see a blind test asking people to compare. I'd bet money based on your photos they would pick Sigma. Are you sure there isn't an emotional belief in there? Reply Elias August 20, 2018 So is it worth it to buy sigma in august 2018? Reply Nathan Andujar September 26, 2018 Great video, definitely helped me make my decision in which lens to purchase! Reply Andrew Bow October 4, 2018 I ordered the colour and the contrast on the sigma Reply Sany MockingBird October 6, 2018 Im a Hobby photograper, shooting mostly animals in Zoos and next to the riversides. Because i dont make money with my photos i go with the 3th party makers like sigma and tamron, I would go with the sigma, if i would make money out of my photos i would go with the Canon (1800€). As a Hobbiest those 3th party lenses are very good and they are getting better, i use the Sigma 150-600mm C, i was considering the Nikon 200-500MM 5,6 but the price difference is 500€ and thats too much forme. Also i have a Sigma 105mm 2.8 Macro and its fantastic, the Nikon 105mm 2.8 Macro would i get only if i had a Nikon DSLR with more then 30mp. But everyoneneeds to deside for him self in the end. Reply Edmund Lozano October 19, 2018 Does one or the other have smoother zoom/focus rings? Thanks. Reply Life & Times of a MultipleMediaManager™ October 24, 2018 The Non IS Sigma costs about £300, and is amazing… I've been using mine for three or four years. Reply Penta October 25, 2018 Gotta say, my Sigma 70-200 2.8 held up great in the rain. Shot a car race, and it started to rain on and off. Although it was covered, it still got wet and worked like a champ. Reply Wichien Cochari November 5, 2018 Both r awesome, thanks for useful tips, Reply Ville Wikstrom November 7, 2018 Great video! Whats that music at 4:30? Reply Lakpa Sona December 26, 2018 how can i sue that sigma lens with canon? Reply AsianWithHat December 31, 2018 Do you honestly believe that Canon's Telephoto lenses are faster over Sigma's? Reply FedEXfright January 2, 2019 Come on man, 1st minute of the video is a waste of time. Nothing of value added. I hope other videos are not like this. Reply shreyas pranesh January 3, 2019 Lol…. For the image stabilization test between the lenses at 6:26, he's zoomed in a tad bit more on the canon to exaggerate shake. If you're doing video, might as well use a 85 prime or a 100 macro on a gimbal. With an aperture as open as 2.8, you can go crazy low shutter speeds in outdoorsy conditions, removing the need for OIS to click photos. Reply Tyson L January 20, 2019 I worked at a camera shop and we had a mint condition Sigma for sale on consignment, so that's why I have that one instead of the Canon lol. Reply Josh R January 22, 2019 The sigma is definitely made out of high grade plastic. I’ve owned it and even seen one crack when it fell mounted to a tripod at a wedding. Reply jl sc January 30, 2019 I really have to disagree with your evaluation of the pictures. To me the sigma was far better. I had the nikon and sigma, I sold the Nikon and have never looked back. I absolutely love the color rendition and optical quality of the sigma. Reply uday singh March 25, 2019 Sigma has focus breathing problem.. Reply Παναγιώτης Σταφυλάς March 26, 2019 man I'm comfused … at the time of writing this the sigma f2.8 costs 1000 euros whereas the canon non is 1300 …does the is make difference ? because i couldn't realy see it in the comparison Reply Nebulous Films April 19, 2019 How is the autofocus noise from the sigma? Because I may want to buy one for video. Reply TheSharperCoder Blog July 2, 2019 Not mentioned, the Canon IS model is dust and moisture resistant. The Sigma and Canon lenses in the video are not sealed. Reply Fele Trejo August 21, 2019 this is perfect for shooting video sports aw yis Reply Eric J September 22, 2019 How about the AF accuracy of the sigma and canon 70-200 in the "AI servo", tracking mode? Reply x69x_PU33Y_x69x November 10, 2019 you uploaded this 1 year ago and still have the 70-200 2.8 without image stabilizing😱 wish I‘d have that in my „lens collection“😍 (I bought the 70-200 mk iii last year but your lens is so old and I love to collect old L lenses😂 Reply Wildlife Gallery February 9, 2020 Love the music at the start of your video reminds me of the UK group Madness Reply Add a Comment Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
